The person at the door
dials the next number.

At 11 PM someone whose smart lock died is calling search results from the top. If the first does not answer, the second; if the second does not, the third.

The call at eleven at night

For the person standing at the door,
this is how it goes.

When it is missed

A missed call
is written down nowhere.

A locksmith inquiry is a right-now problem. A locked-out caller does not wait for a call-back — whoever picks up gets the job. But while the owner is opening a door across town he cannot answer, and in those ten minutes the caller has already finished with another company. Night lockouts are also the highest-rate work you do.

What it will not do

The things a machine
must not say in this trade.

The four below are not settings you switch on and off. They are blocked from the start when the Locksmiths answering is built. Anything that touches them is not answered — it goes to a person.

  • It never completes identity verification over the phone.“It’s my house” opens nothing. ID and proof of residence are checked at the door by the owner — the first line a locksmith holds.
  • It never explains how to open a lock.A question about how to get a door open is not answered. A dispatch is booked instead.
  • Someone locked inside means 911 first, then a person.A child inside, a gas smell, a medical worry — the emergency line is read first and the owner’s phone rings immediately.
  • The final price is set at the door.Only the call-out range is quoted. Whether it is a pick, a drill-out or a replacement is decided looking at the lock.

The Locksmiths CRM comes with Locksmiths fields. You do not bend a generic CRM's blanks to your trade over months — it is written in your trade's words from day one.
