What it will not do
Not a setting you switch on and off. These are blocked when the Veterinary answering is built; anything that touches them goes to a person instead of being answered.
- It never diagnoses.It does not hear a symptom and name a condition or a treatment. That is the vet’s job.
- It routes an emergency signal to a person at once.Poisoning, breathing trouble, seizures, bleeding or a birth in progress mean no appointment — the on-call vet is connected on the spot.
- It never advises on medicine or doses.Whether a human tablet in the cupboard can be given to a dog is a question it does not answer. It goes to the vet before the visit.
- It never says an animal is fit for surgery.Age and weight over the phone are not an assessment. That is decided after the exam.
