What it will not do
Not a setting you switch on and off. These are blocked when the Equipment rental answering is built; anything that touches them goes to a person instead of being answered.
- It never reserves a machine that is not in stock.It books only what the inventory shows free. A machine that is not there at seven stops the whole site.
- It never guesses the delivery charge.Delivery depends on distance, so it takes the address and the hire desk confirms the figure in the morning.
- It never explains how to operate a machine or what it can safely lift.A 3-ton forklift and a pallet that is “only slightly over” is a safety judgement for the operator and the hire desk. Controls and safety rules are explained at handover by a person.
- It never says a licence is not needed.Equipment that requires a ticket is described as requiring one, plainly.
